about me,aspiring author and website creator.
Of course, you won't find out ALL about me, that would
be far too long winded and tedious, but maybe a little glimpse
of who I am and what I aspire to achieve.
First the facts. I live in Wellington,New Zealand, Land of the
Long White Cloud for want of a more romantic title, also known
to fans around the world as Middle Earth ever since Lord Of The
Rings was filmed here. You may wonder why I would boast of such
a thing? Well, like a large proportion of the population I had
a close relative who worked on the production and I'm justly
proud of her. That aside, I'm not a natural born Kiwi, as we like
to be known, I was actually born in England not quite half a century
ago. I grew up there in the era of the sixties and emigrated to NZ
in the seventies. I have never lost my essential Englishness, and
this fuels my love of Historical Romantic Adventures. My love affair
with reading romantic fiction started in my teens and has never
really left me.
Despite the end of my own love affair ten years ago this year (2007)
I still retain hope that romance is not entirely gone from my life.
When I found reading it palled, I turned to writing it. First within
the realms of fanfiction, the bulk of which is spread over three
websites, and more recently by writing my first original novel,
Cherished Castaway.
When not writing, reading, or thinking about possible plot bunnies,
I update and maintain four websites, and two blogs. I make all my
own graphics,creating and designing the layouts and icons being a
large part of the enjoyment for me. I also manage my two children,
when not engrossed in the former activities, and the rest of my time
is scattered around domesticity.
In my living room, I have shelves filled to bursting with books
collected over the years. One day I hope to have my name join the
ranks of the published,my book nestled snuggly up against those
already there. Of course, the first will probably be framed and hung
on the wall,alongside my movie posters and children's artwork.
